Score Oh Hell without the arithmetic

Enter your players once, then let the app walk you through every round: everyone bids how many tricks they'll take, plays the hand, and reports how many they actually won. Running totals, a full scoreboard, and a winner at the end — all automatic.

Two ways to play

Pick your variant at setup — both run 15 rounds.

Peak

1 → 8 → 1

Cards dealt climb from 1 up to 8, then back down to 1.

Valley

8 → 1 → 8

Cards dealt drop from 8 down to 1, then climb back up to 8.

How to Play

  • Players: 2–7, named at the start of the game.
  • The deal: 15 rounds total; the cards dealt each round follow your chosen variant (Peak: 1→8→1, or Valley: 8→1→8).
  • Bidding: Each player bids how many tricks they expect to win, from 0 up to the cards dealt.
  • Play the hand: Play using standard Oh Hell rules — trump suit, follow suit if you can, highest trump or highest card of the led suit wins the trick.
  • Scoring: Tricks won equal to your bid → score 10 + bid. Any other result → bust, score 0.
  • Optional rule: "Require a bust" stops the dealer from bidding the number that would let every bid add up exactly to the cards dealt.
  • Winning: Highest total after 15 rounds wins. Ties are shown as co-winners.
